One million kilometers accident-free: 41 of our drivers receive International recognition
It is a rare and remarkable milestone in logistics when 41 prestigious international professional awards land at a single company at the same time. This year, Hunland Trans achieved exactly that. While officially nominating drivers for this recognition has not been a standard practice at our company in the past, this year we wanted to ensure that the dedication, expertise, and reliability of our long-standing colleagues received the official global recognition they deserve.
Following a rigorous evaluation process, 41 Hunland Trans drivers were awarded the prestigious IRU Diploma.
What is the IRU Diploma?
Founded by the International Road Transport Union (IRU), this diploma is one of the highest global honors a professional driver can achieve. In Hungary, the award is presented through its national partner organization, the Association of Hungarian Road Transport Entrepreneurs (MKFE). To qualify, drivers must meet exceptionally strict international criteria:
- At least 1,000,000 kilometers of certified accident-free driving in domestic or international traffic.
- A minimum of 20 years of continuous professional experience in the industry.
- At least 5 years of continuous service with their current employer.
- A flawless record: The applicant must not have caused any traffic or workplace accidents, nor committed any serious traffic, customs, or tax violations.
These 41 diplomas are the direct result of decades of discipline, patience, and unwavering focus out on the roads.
Official ceremony and family celebration
The official award ceremony took place on June 6, 2026, where our drivers proudly accepted their certificates.
An achievement of this magnitude deserves a proper celebration. Upon arriving at the ceremony, it was clear that the Hunland Trans team stood out from the rest: our uniform appearance and the way everyone genuinely celebrated each other’s success radiated the same direct, family-like atmosphere that defines our everyday work.
Following the official ceremony, we hosted our award-winning drivers and their families for an informal get-together. In their speeches during this event, our managing directors, Zoltán Deli and Péter Hencz, expressed their gratitude to the drivers and the families providing the support in the background. They also spoke about their commitment to building a workplace and culture where it is worth planning for the long term, even up until retirement.
We are incredibly proud of our team’s outstanding achievement. We want to congratulate all 41 of our award recipients once again, and we wish them continued success and safe, accident-free kilometers on the roads ahead!
